ugh...is it time to go back to school yet?

No. I am sick of being in the middle of nowhere with no job. I even applied at a brand-new Forever 21 in Danvers hoping that since they were new they needed to hire people, but nooooo, they apparently don't need to hire Jafaria. I will be broke when I go back to school. But at least I'll be back.

And at least I'll still have my scholarship when I get back. I managed to take five classes, all above the 200 level, and pull two A's and three B's. And I need the scholarship, because even with my financial aid I'm getting charged more money because I have a single room. At least this coming year is the last year I'll live on campus.

Whenever I miss school I just play The Sims 2 and send the Sim version of me to school. She's a History major, and going to be a politician when she graduates. (Her housemate and current best friend is none other than a How Not To Slay Dragons character. Guess which one.)

My grandmother does, which is why I was applying for jobs there, because I could stay with her the days I was working.

I didn't get any jobs. I turned in resumes and everything, but didn't get any jobs.

There's a reason that I plan on going to the Middle East Studies Association conference this year. I need some connections in my field since it doesn't look like I'm getting any jobs outside it.

(Well, that and my crazy Arabic professor who I'm in love with usually goes to the conference. Not that I'd stalk him there or anything but if I already knew someone I could get introduced to someone else.)

I know what you mean! I wish I was back in college just for the sake of having something to do! I even regret not registering for summer classes. (But I love my summers, and I didn't want to be holed up in a building all summer... so I didn't.)

Good luck with the Middle East Studies Association! Hope you make awesome connections.
